Sholove community involvement programs are designed to focus on the experiences that community members have had rather than the technological tools available.  We choose to focus first on projects that affect the lives of our families and friends and that build upon the experiences they have had.  We aim to help youth discover the lost art of true communication—communication that doesn't require an iPhone or a Blackberry.

In a small focus group setting, we strive to bring youth back to what's important in life.  We believe that the youth of this generation have largely forgotten what it means to respect themselves, and as a result, they fail to respect those around them, especially authority figures.  We help youth understand how their decisions and actions affect not just themselves but also those they care about and those who care about them.  We help teens see themselves in the broader context of their community and show them how to communicate positively with those around them.
